With only 6 feet of Sea Level rise by 2100, Miami Beach will be inundated. South Florida will be destroyed. Even levees will not work because the porous coral bedrock will allow seawater to seep through --- sooner rather than later. And I don't think the Sea Level rise will be uniform across the globe. In places like South Florida, Houston, Mobile, Jacksonville, Savannah and New Orleans, the sea level rise could be 2½ times as fast as the global mean. 6 Feet of global mean sea level rise could mean 15 feet in those places.
